Choose the route before writing the CV
Audit, tax, deals, risk, consulting and technology routes look similar from the outside, but they reward different evidence. Audit and tax routes often value detail, process, regulation and client service. Consulting and technology routes need stronger problem-solving, stakeholder and project evidence.
Do not use one generic CV for every Big 4 application. Choose the service line first, then rewrite your profile, bullet points and skills around that route.
What international students should check
- Whether the route is open for the current intake and location.
- Whether the job description excludes sponsorship or future sponsorship.
- Whether your degree, grades and work experience meet the route requirements.
- Whether your examples can support online assessment, video interview and assessment centre answers.
Strong CV evidence for Big 4 routes
Good evidence includes client-facing work, data analysis, finance or business projects, process improvement, teamwork under deadlines, stakeholder communication and structured problem-solving. Even non-UK internships can work if translated into UK business language.
